This Privacy Policy explains how PokeVS (pokevs.net) handles the information of people who use the site. PokeVS is an independent fan project, not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company.
The name you type when joining a room is stored only in your browser and shared with the other players in that room for the duration of the match — it is never stored permanently on any server or linked to your real identity. Chat messages, scores, and other match data exist only while the room is active and are deleted once it closes. Your chosen language and theme (light/dark) are saved in your browser so we can remember them on your next visit. PokeVS has no account or sign-up system, and never asks for or stores passwords, email addresses, or payment information.
Like any website, our hosting providers (Netlify and Render) may automatically log standard technical data, such as IP address and browser type, for security and service-operation purposes.
PokeVS may display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads, including, where applicable based on your location, a consent message for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. PokeVS does not sell personal information. Information is only shared to the extent strictly necessary to operate the site (such as the hosting providers mentioned above) or when required by law.
Within a room, players can censor or report other players. These reports are used only to moderate behavior within that match and are not kept beyond that purpose.
PokeVS is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under that age.
This policy may be updated at any time. Significant changes will be reflected with a new "last updated" date on this same page.
