Quiz mode guide

Five multiple-choice and true-or-false questions about the games, anime, movies and competitive scene. Categories, scoring and tips for PokeVS Quiz.

How it works

A Quiz match has five questions. Each one is either multiple choice with four options or true or false, and belongs to one of six categories: main games, spin-offs, competitive play, anime, movies and general knowledge.

Everyone answers at the same time and gets one locked-in answer. The correct option is revealed after 15 seconds, or as soon as every player has answered. Questions never repeat within the same room.

Scoring

Because a Quiz match is half as long as most modes, each question is worth double: 160 points minus 8 for every second taken, with a minimum of 32. Every player who answers correctly scores.

Tips

• Read the whole question. Many ask for the first game that introduced something, which is not always the most famous one.
• In true-or-false questions, watch absolute words such as every, only or never; they decide the answer more often than the rest of the sentence.
• If you are torn between two options, answer anyway: a slow correct answer still pays at least 32 points and a wrong one costs nothing.
