Everyone names things in a top 10 at once, from the tallest Pokémon to the best-selling games. Categories, lives, timer and scoring for PokeVS's Top 10 mode.
How it works
A category appears with ten hidden boxes. Everyone types at the same time: naming something on the list reveals its box and rank for the whole room. Naming something that's already on the board costs nothing.
Each player has 3 lives, and every wrong answer costs one. The round lasts 90 seconds and ends early if the whole board is revealed or every player is out of lives.
Categories
Base stats: the Pokémon with the most Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed, HP or total base stats.
Size: the heaviest, lightest, tallest and shortest Pokémon.
Generations: which generation introduced the most new Pokémon, or the most legendaries and mythicals. These are answered with the generation number.
Types: the types with the most Pokémon, the most common dual-type combinations and the combinations with the most weaknesses.
Franchise: the highest-grossing Pokémon movies and the best-selling Pokémon games.
Scoring
The rank you reveal decides the points: 128 for number 1 down to 32 for number 10. Whoever names a box first gets its points, so speed matters.
Tips
Go for the top of the list early. Everyone knows Wailord is huge, so claim it before someone else does: number 1 pays four times what number 10 does.
Remember the list uses official data. Special forms and legendaries dominate the heaviest and tallest.
Lives are yours alone, so save them for answers you're fairly sure about.
